About the Event

Darlene Doughty is offering a 14” drum making work shop. She has deer, elk, water buffalo and cow available for hide choices (choices will be made based on availability the beginning of June

Sunday June 23rd 2024 11:00 am -5:00 pm (may end earlier or go later plan to be here for the day.)

What to expect: You will be choosing your own drum hoop and hide.  

Next we will do a ceremony to connect with and Give Thanks to the animal and it’s spirit. 

Ex:Deer reminds us to be kinder and gentler on ourselves and more loving.

Darlene will then instruct you on how to connect with your drum round and how to punch the holes in the hide followed by the stretching and lacing process. We will also be making our own drum beater.

Wear comfortable clothes 

Bring drinks/ lunch and snacks. 

This class will take approximately 5-7 hours.

The cost for the 14”hoop, hide, lacing and beater supplies is $333.00

***Payment  A non refundable $150.00 deposit is required to hold your space for this class. 

Balance is due 3 days prior to class. Which can be paid to Darlene's Venmo at
